amarya beauty box | february

Apologies for how late this post is - eek! I actually received my Amarya Beauty Box a good week ago but I just haven't had the time to post. You've probably seen a fair few of these posts/reviews already, but Amarya have done amazingly well this month with their box and I just had to share it with you.....

The first thing that jumped to my attention when opening the box was the ah-mazing NEOM Happiness Travel Candle [£13.00] *little squeal*. I have wanted to try a NEOM candle for ages so I am so unbelievably chuffed. Happiness is the new uplifting spring/summer scent with essential oils of White Neroli, Mimosa and Lemon blended to create a crisp spring garden scent. It has been made specifically for relieving tension whilst giving a little perk me up.  Its a very unique smell and I think you will either love it or hate it, I personally love it and it really does work as a little pick me up - I smile when I smell it [how lame is that!?]. Definitely going to purchase a few of their travel candles in the near future..

Next up, a full size Zoya Nail Varnish in Carey [£10.00] from the FEEL Collection. To be honest I'm not a huge nail varnish fan but this is a gorgeous periwinkle grey which is totally up my street and perfect for work. I love that Zoya nail varnishes contain no formaldehyde, DBP or toluene - that's part of the reason i don't wear much nail varnish in the first place all those awful chemicals!

Lastly in the box were two products from Essential Care, a full size Organic Avocado Replenishing Cream 15ml [£6.00] and a sample sachet of the Organic Rose Moisturiser 1.5ml [full size 50ml £19.00]. I absoloutley adore the sound of the Avocado Replenishing Cream, mainly because I love Avocado's - they scream healthy to me. It is described as a sumptuous aromatherapeutic night or rich day cream for smoothing out lines and promoting skin regeneration.

Overall I am really pleased with this months box. In my opinion it has been the best yet.. which is great because unfortunately I was umming and ahhhing about keeping my subscription [there are only so many organic face creams a girl can get]. The variety in this box has been wonderful and has completely won me over.. very excited to see what the next box has to offer!

review | kiehls creme de corps

Brand | Kiehls
Kiehl's was founded as an old-world apothecary in New York's East Village over 150 years ago. Their extensive experience has resulted in a unique blend of cosmetic, pharmaceutical, herbal and medicinal knowledge developed over generations. The single most important component of their products, Ingredients are not chosen on their aesthetic merit – only formulas with ingredients that are truly beneficial to the skin are selected. Using many naturally derived ingredients, minimal preservatives are used in their formulations,  only just enough to give the products a shelf life.

Product | Creme de Corps
Much-loved, super-enriched moisturising treatment for the body with Beta-Carotene for dry sin that needs extra care and moisture nourishment. It takes a little longer to soak in, but worth the wait! Enriched with the finest ingredients known to Kiehl's for a rich elegant skin texture. Continued use for 10 days will provide a skin texture heretofore unattainable.

Review |
I first heard of Kiehls through my mum a fair few years ago, she has always adored their products and I have been lucky to try fair few of their products through her. As soon as I did I just fell in love - Keihls are such a quirky company and their products really do.... work!

One of Kiehls most well loved and infamous products is the Creme de Corps. I'd heard so so so many amazing things about it over the last couple of years so just before christmas I decided to pop in to Kiehls to see if I could get a sample and try it out. The shop assistant was so wonderful, informative and helpful. I ended up buying my mum the 250ml pump [£27.00] and myself the 125ml bottle [£16.00].

Described on the website as a 'superb all over body-moisturiser of superb quality'. It really is one of the most amazingly luxurious moisturisers I have ever tried. The consistency is incredibly smooth, rich and thick. It has a wonderful light yellow colour and a very very slight scent [if not scentless]. As directed, I gently apply and massage the cream into my skin just after i've had a shower/bath and leave to soak in for a few minutes. My skin seems to just drink up the cream so easily and feels so incredibly nourished, hydrated and super soft for days afterwards. Creme de Corps really is so gorgeous and yes, I am going to say it.. one of my all time holy grail products. I love it that much!

The only downside with this product is the insane price. They do four different sizes on the UK website - 75ml [£8.50], 125ml [£16.00], 250ml [£27.00] and 500ml [£44.00]. And I also think they also do a 1 litre [£72.00] version in store. It is such a shame its so expensive but I suppose thats what makes it such a treat. I wish I could use it all day everyday but I try and use it as sparingly as I can.. desperately don't want it to run out! he he.

I really want to try the Creme de Corps Nurturing Body Washing Creme and Creme de Corps Soy Milk and Honey Whipped Body Butter next. They both sound absolutely delish!

Have you tried any Kiehls products? What are your favorites?

pintrest | home sweet home

 [all images sourced via pintrest]

Hubby and I made a decision this weekend and have decided to start looking for a new house to rent in the local area. Yeay. Unfortunately the current house we are in is a little bit too small and we just aren't 100% happy/comfortable here so a change is definitely needed [hopefully in time for summer!]. We would love love to buy right now and make a house our own but as you all know - mortgages are insanely hard to get hold of unless you have a huge deposit! Eeep..

Anyways... as well as spending every spare second on lettings websites, I have been completely consumed by Pintrest and at all things homey!

If you are on Pintrest please leave me your link as I would love to follow you!
